The understanding of planes will
create solidity and a sense of volume in your drawings, painting or sculpture.
To help find planes, place a spot light
at a 45 degree angle above the model. Where the light meets the dark on the
form indicates the turning from one plane to the next (disregard shadows).
Highlights live on the edge of planes.
