Skeleton

PENCIL ON BOND PAPER

A student of art will learn more from the study of the skeleton than he will from the study of the muscles. The skeleton is the framework of the body on which the muscle groups attach.
Like a house, one must build the framework before attaching the sheetrock. The concave and convex shapes of the bones will give one clues as to where the muscle group lie upon the bone as well as their attachments and insertion points.

The numbers on the drawing indicate the measuring points on the body which I will explain in a future blog post.
