Comic book Art

Keu Cha Pencils

Although I am repulsed by the violence in this drawing, I am also awestruck by the tremendous drawing ability of this artist. When I was young, comic book art was not considered a viable art form. In fact, the reading of comic books was shunned in most households as a bad influence for the young.
Art history snobs might disagree, but I believe there is a direct artistic link between the Greco/Roman gods and art of antiquity, the renaissance sculpture and paintings of Michelangelo, and the super hero comics of today.
There is a whole art school of knowledge to be gleaned from the pages of those super hero comics.
